The school year has begun and as expected I have less time to for photography. I recently took a friend to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens and had the opportunity to take a few photos. Here is one of my favorites. I was practicing with my new addition, the 35mm.

Spring is in the Air
I love spring. Not as much as fall, but I do love the beauty that finally comes after such a harsh winter season. I am not picky as far types, but these Rhododendron are one of my favorites. Once they bloom they don't last so I love taking advantage of them when they look like this. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

It does take skill
I have come such a long way in my photography. One of the most important realities I have learned is that just because I have an entry-level DSLR, it still requires skill and knowledge to take a good picture. I used to think that good photos were a result of having a good camera. Below I have attached a photo taken by a stranger while my family and I were on vacation. I made sure the settings were all set for a potentially good shot, and then I come home to see this.... No, my camera is not what takes great photos. I have learned a lot in a few years. I am thankful for new skills each and every time I take a shot. #thankful #nikonD90 #takespractice

There is so much joy that comes with being able to gift someone your time and talents. This weekend I had the honor and pleasure of taking some photos of my brother and his fiancé. Capturing the love they have for each other was so easy. Here's to many years of bliss. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share this with you.

Heartwarming
My pride and joy! This little princess was fancied up for a Daddy Daughter Dance at her school. What a special night.
My First Attempt
This was my first edit upon receiving Photoshop Elements 15 for Christmas. Let me just say that I think I was more excited with my new toy than my children were with theirs. This was a photo taken during a holiday dinner of my cousin and her son. The moment was so beautiful I did not care that she was out of focus.
